ADK Presents… NO SLEEP ‘TILL HITCHIN! KAINE Kaine is an NWOTHM/Speed Metal band, originally formed in 2009, with a top 100 album to their name. They have completed several UK tours and played over 300 gigs. VICIOUS NATURE Vicious Nature were formed from the ashes of Marshall Law, Cloven Hoof and Cerebral Fix, this however is no reflection on the music that they are producing, more a testament to the pedigree of the musicians involved in this band. TEMPEST SAINT Formed in 2023 and hailing from the Greater London area, Tempest Saint deliver a captivating sound that fuses classic metal riffage with the melodic drive of modern rock. SKARLET ENVY Gothic Metal from the Darkest Depths of a Waking Nightmare. DOORS 6pm ENTRY £8 advance (plus online booking fee)/£12 on the door. Age: persons aged 16+ may attend without a chaperone provided they have photo ID – younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult. Earplugs are available upon request (50p). Downstairs bar open until 11pm. We are just a 5-minute stroll from the station.; like all our gigs this show finishes well in time for the last trains North and South to Cambridge, Peterborough and London. We’re delighted to announce THE SMYTHS are back on tour and joining us one more at Club 85 following their sell out show at the venue in 2025. To mark the 40th anniversary of The Queen Is Dead, their 2026 tour features the album performed with all the love and detail it deserves- including: The Queen Is Dead, Frankly / Mr. Shankly / I Know It’s Over / Never Had No One Ever / Cemetery Gates / Bigmouth Strikes Again / The Boy With The Thorn In His Side / Vicar In A Tutu / There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, / Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others. The night will then conclude with a “best of” set covering the classic Smiths catalogue. With over 20 years of shows behind them and 900+ live dates across Europe and Australia, The Smyths faithfully and effortlessly bring the music of The Smiths back to life, imagining how the band might sound today, four decades on. If you’ve ever mourned the fact you never got to see the real thing, this is the closest you’re going to get. “Having had the very good fortune to have worked up close and personal with THE SMITHS, I can vouch that THE SMYTHS are the most excellent “tribute” to the Smiths’ music and legacy. The Smyths’ musicianship is undoubtedly of a very high standard enabling them to play every song from The Smiths and Morrissey’s catalog with incredible precision and feel.

Mark Chadwick (Levellers) + Guests7:30pm Friday 12th June, Club 85, Hitchin We are very pleased to be welcoming Levellers frontman and chief songwriter, Mark Chadwick back to Club 85 Hitchin for a special, intimate show. One of the UK’s most successful songwriters, Mark Chadwick, has co-written 20 chart singles and 6 Top 40 albums (including a Number 1) as part of the Levellers, the band he has fronted for over 25 years. Still going strong, the Levellers are festival favourites and have cemented their cherished status with headline performances at Glastonbury, Isle Of Wight, Cambridge Folk Festival, Bestival and Boomtown and many European and UK events and in 2003 they successfully created their own annual Beautiful Days Festival which takes place in August at Escot Park in Devon. During this time Mark has released two solo albums ‘All the Pieces’ and ‘Moment’ and his upfront and personal solo performance will see him play a mixture of material from these albums and Levellers classics. Be warned, Mark will have you up dancing!
