Croquet Open Afternoon

Sunday 7th June: Croquet Open Afternoon. A chance to try the fun and tactical sport of croquet free of charge, with an introduction to the basics from members of Ashby Croquet Club and then the opportunity to have a friendly game or two. On the croquet lawns at Moira Miners' Welfare sports ground, Bath Lane, Moira DE12 6BP (opposite Conkers Waterside entrance). 2pm to 5pm. Please wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. Joanne Wilkes is Horticulture Coordinator at SMB college group and is known for her work at Brooksby Campus, supporting local initiatives like Headway Leicester by donating surplus plants and is a strong advocate for gardening health benefits. Joanne will be demonstrating the filling of hanging baskets and sharing her tips and tricks for keeping them looking good throughout the summer and beyond. All welcome, please come along!
