Basic Bike Repairs

Learn how to fix a puncture, change your brake pads, reattaching your chain and other basic repairs to keep your bike on the road. With a mixture of theory and hands on learning you can learn core skills under the guidance of one our amazing mechanics. Better yet we’ll provide the bikes to practice on so you can rest assured if anything isn’t perfect you won’t be wobblying out of the store. Funded by Reading Borough Council and Avanti Cycling

Guided Bike Repairs with Cycling UK's Big Bike Revival

Bring your bike along and work with our mechanics on the 1st Saturday of the month. Thanks to a grant from Cycling UK we’re able to provide small parts free of charge and a mechanic will talk you through the steps. Ideal for someone who wants to get their hands dirty (we do have gloves don’t worry) but wants that little reassurance they’re doing it right.
