Ultra-processed foods are becoming more and more common in our daily lives and can be difficult to avoid. While these foods might be convenient and increasingly accessible, are they affecting our health? About the speaker Chris van Tulleken is a Professor of Infection and Global Health at University College London, and an infectious diseases doctor at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in London. He trained in medicine at Oxford University, has a PhD in molecular virology, and his research focuses on nutrition and the global food system, and he works closely with UNICEF and the World Health Organization in this area.
