Ultra-processed foods are becoming more and more common in our daily lives and can be difficult to avoid. While these foods might be convenient and increasingly accessible, are they affecting our health? Join Professor Chris, a leading expert on this topic, as he looks into our diets and how we process these ultra-processed foods. About the speaker Chris van Tulleken is a Professor of Infection and Global Health at University College London, and an infectious diseases doctor at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in London. He trained in medicine at Oxford University, has a PhD in molecular virology, and his research focuses on nutrition and the global food system, and he works closely with UNICEF and the World Health Organization in this area. As one of the BBC’s leading broadcasters for children and adults (including works such as Operation Ouch!), his work has won two BAFTAs and he is the author of the Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller, Ultra-Processed People. He lives in London with his wife and three children. 14+ only. Walk ins will be accepted if capacity allows but booking is recommended. Adult: £5 Concession: £4 Ticket costs help us pay venue fees, such as security costs.
