Emotional Regulation and resilience (Part 2)

Emotional regulation is not about controlling emotions, it’s about noticing our emotions, understanding what message they are trying to give, and developing practical strategies so that our emotions help us rather than overwhelm us. We will focus on this in Part 1. Then in Part 2 we will look at resilience, which is our capacity to handle the challenges of life without becoming emotionally dysregulated. We will look at how we can draw on the strategies, strengths, resources, and insights we already have to strengthen our resilience and stay

Mental ill-health often leads to a loss of confidence, making it difficult for people to get the most out of their lives. We appreciate that developing or regaining confidence is an important part of many people’s recovery. This course will help you recognise your existing skills, and consider some practical ways to move forwards with increased confidence
