Growing Leaders: August Away Day

The Growing Leaders Away Day is designed to equip and encourage young people in Y12–Y14 to grow in serving, leading, and discipleship. It's open to young people from SBC who will be in Y12–Y14 from September 2026, and will be especially helpful for those serving as Peer Leaders, or involved in children's ministry, or leading in other settings like school SU groups. Through a mix of teaching, discussion, and workshops, we'll explore how to develop in character, faith, and leadership as we serve together. We will also take part in an activity lead by the team at Lorne Estate as part of our afternoon session. 12th August 2026, 10.00am - 4.00 pm — Meet 10am at Lorne Estate — Collect 4.00pm at Lorne Estate — Please bring: — A packed lunch and drink/refillable bottle — Bible, notebook and pen — Clothing/footwear suitable for an outdoor activity (dry/non-messy) — Coat — Any medication required What's Happening? — 9.45am Arrive 10.00am Workshop 1 11.15am Break 11.30am Workshop 2 12.30pm Lunch (Packed Lunch) 1.30pm Activity 3.00pm Workshop 3 4.00pm Finish If transport to and from Lorne Estate is an issue please let Sam know.
