Make a Mug Workshop at Chez Polie

Ready to get your hands dirty (in the best possible way?) In this pottery workshop you will dive into the relaxing and playful world of hand building - a technique that lets you shape clay entirely by hand. It's a slower, more mindful approach and suitable for beginners. You'll learn how to hand-build your very own unique coffee/tea mug using a technique called slab building. Over the course of two hours, we will experiment with texture and form so that you can craft a mug that is completely personal to you. Lisa our local potter will be there to guide you through the making process and will carefully fire your creations at her home studio and dip glaze each piece, then they can be collected from Chez Polie within 3 weeks of the class. Just wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dusty (clay dust washes out easily). £35 per person. Please email for booking details.
