Butterflies at Parke

An informal guided walk around the estate to explore these fascinating and beautiful insects. Learn how to identify Parke's species and find out how you can help to record the butterflies you see too. As we go we will record what we find to feed back into the Big Butterfly Count organised by the charity Butterfly Conservation. Butterflies are a key indicator to the condition of our biodiversity, so the more we understand the more we can help make a difference.

Wildlife Picnic - family fun at Parke

Drop-in for some fun activities and games in the picnic area at the Parke Estate. Rangers from the National Trust, Bug Life, Pine Marten Project and the Bovey Hedgehog group will be on hand to offer fun activities and games for all the family. Learn about the local bugs, get creative, or perhaps have a game of giant Jenga. FREE LUNCHES. We will also be joined by Better Places who are able to provide a limited number of free packed lunches for children. Or please do bring your own and settle in to this beautiful garden.
