We are thrilled to be able to welcome Seth Lakeman to Harwell Village Hall. Seth was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2005 for ‘Kitty Jay’. Multiple albums, tours and high-profile collaborations later, the acclaimed folk artist released his latest studio album The Granite Way in February on his own label, Honour Oak Records. It’s a collection of songs recorded alongside a group of longtime collaborators of Seth’s, staying true to his roots and referring to ancient stories that inspired early West Country storytelling. Seth Lakeman: ‘Each song feels strongly connected through history to the moors and the sea. I had written the stories and songs beforehand and had the melodic tunes ready for us all to explore when we recorded in the room, and the musical interplay between this lineup really displays their appetite for sounds and subjects within the folk tradition.’ In recent years Seth was asked to record on Van Morrison’s album ‘Moving On Skiffle’ and he collaborated with Public Service Broadcasting. We are pleased to welcome back The Dunwells and Roswell Road to Harwell Village Hall. The Dunwells are a successful Leeds based indie-folk-pop band with strong vocals, powerful melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Their debut album ‘BLIND SIGHTED FAITH’ was released to much global acclaim and spawned the singles ‘I COULD BE A KING’, ‘FOLLOW THE ROAD’ (performed on the NBC Jay Leno show) and the title track ‘BLIND SIGHTED FAITH’. The band have since released 3 further studio albums, a live album and a number of standout EP’s and singles. The Dunwells have found favour with audiences across the world having performed live and toured extensively in the USA, Europe and the UK as well as having supported artists including Mumford & Sons, Elbow, Tom Jones, Scouting for Girls and Bryan Adams on UK tours. They are passionate and prolific singer-songwriters having written material for notable artists and with joint collaborators as well as other high profile up and coming musicians. The Dunwells have performed and been featured on many TV Shows on the BBC, ITV, NBC and multiple music and national/regional press publications.

Big Ginger Tom Music Presents Sound of the Sirens with support from Rob Clamp

We are pleased to welcome Devon based Sound of the Sirens to Harwell Village Hall. Sound of the Sirens is the acclaimed singer-songwriter duo from Southwest England, known for their multi-instrumental talents, evocative storytelling, and deeply personal songwriting. Comprised of Abbe Wood and Hannah Walker, the duo has built a reputation for their unique blend of folk, pop, and acoustic influences, crafting songs that resonate with sincerity and emotional depth. Since their formation in 2011, they have carved out a distinct place within the UK acoustic music scene, captivating audiences with their heartfelt lyrics and dynamic musicianship. They have become firm favourites and a big draw at festivals, earning a dedicated following with their passionate performances. Both Abbe and Hannah showcase their versatility by playing a range of instruments, including guitar, piano, mandolin, and percussion, adding depth and texture to their sound. Big Ginger Tom Music Presents A Winter Union

We are thrilled to welcome back five musicians who have all played at Harwell before with different acts. Five leading lights of the British roots scene join forces to create a festive folk band like no other. Expect soaring harmonies and exquisite musicianship as the 5-piece blast through a repertoire ofbrand new, specially written songs, fresh arrangements of traditional carols both well-loved and little-known, and seasonal classics from both sides of the Atlantic. Originally formed in 2015 for a one-off yuletide concert, A Winter Union have gone from strength to strength in the following 5 tours and now are fast becoming thought of as the pre-Christmas knees-up for folk & roots lovers all over the country. The band, that features members of The Willows, Gilmore & Roberts and Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage have gone on to play the likes of the Great British Folk Festival, Cecil Sharp House were invited for a live session on BBC Radio 3’s inTune.
