Fred Stacey – Photography Walk & Talk Thursday 11 June 2026 11:00am – 1:00pm Join Fred, a keen photographer and filmmaker. No fancy gear needed, you can just use your phone to enjoy and share your photographic interest. Each session will have a particular theme and involve a short local walk starting at Llantrisant Guildhall. (In the event of bad weather the activity will take place within the Guildhall.) This is a free Community event – no need to book. Gwyneth’s Tea Room and Bar will be open for refreshments.

Big Picnic

The Big Picnic is on 20th June 2026 @11am. Bring a picnic & some bubbly and enjoy a day of music provided by local bands and artists. The line up includes: Mid Rhondda Band who will open the show @ 11am Llantrisant Folk Club Cor Y Bryn Choir Emily Richards Andy Coleman Harvest Moon Band We will also have childrens games and entertainment thorughout the day. Gwyneth’s tearoom will be open all day, selling tea & coffee, alcoholic beverages, a selection of cakes & our delicious grazing boxes. No ticket required. Its free entry so just turn up on the day!

About Julie Croad Julie began writing poetry in 2011 while attending a creative writing course. She writes mainly humorous poems about everyday experiences and conversations. Her poems are on permanent exhibition in 2 local hospitals. Julie has, to date, written 4 poetry books, and is a regular contributor to the RCT Anthology and Buddy magazine.

Guided History Walk

Guided History Walk with Volunteer Janet Sully Friday 26th June 2026 @ 1:30pm until 3:30pm (approx) This is a grade 1 easy walk that starts on Castle Green, continues on to Llantrisant Parish Church (which includes a short talk by Adrian Clark), down towards the Bullring and the Dr. William Price statue and finally back to the Guildhall for a video and tour. Gwyneth’s tea room will be open before and afterwards for refreshments. Tickets are £5 per person and are available online, by telephone () and at the Llantrisant Guildhall reception desk.
