Meet the Author – Efa Lois

Meet the Author – Efa Lois Thursday, 16 April 2026 7pm – 9pm Writer and illustrator Efa Lois will give a talk about her debut book ‘Gwrachod Cymru Welsh Witches’ that celebrates female power and exposes the misogyny in their stories. A Q&A session will follow, and of course an opportunity to buy the book. No fancy gear needed, you can just use your phone to enjoy and share your photographic interest. Each session will have a particular theme and involve a short local walk starting at Llantrisant Guildhall. (In the event of bad weather the activity will take place within the Guildhall.) About the Book “Coming Back to My Trees / Dod ynôl at fy Nghoed is a lyrical memoir and spiritual travelogue that invites the reader to walk with the author through the sacred landscapes of Wales and the inner terrain of soul and memory. Rooted in the concept of hiraeth, a deep longing for home, the book weaves personal story with myth, place and ancestral connection. Dedicated to those raised without a full understanding of Welsh culture or language, it is both a reclamation and a healing. Mosiac Taster Session Saturday 16 May 2026 10:00am – 12:00pm Local artist Justine Stroud is offering a Mosiac Taster Session based at Llantrisant Guildhall on Saturday 16th May 2 hour workshop will give you the opportunity to learn basic mosaic methods and to make a coaster with your initial on it. While its being fired you can enjoy a cuppa in our tea room. There are only 10 spaces on this workshop so please book early to guarantee your place!

Further details to follow Enjoy Poems and Pints, songs and sonnets – an evening with Julie Croad. About Julie Croad Julie began writing poetry in 2011 while attending a creative writing course. She writes mainly humorous poems about everyday experiences and conversations. Her poems are on permanent exhibition in 2 local hospitals. Julie has, to date, written 4 poetry books, and is a regular contributor to the RCT Anthology and Buddy magazine.
