Othello - The Lord Chamberlain's Men

Join The Lord Chamberlain’s Men this summer for Othello, one of the most captivating and thrilling plays ever written. See it performed how William Shakespeare first saw it, as The Lord Chamberlain’s Men – with a history stretching back to Shakespeare’s original company – present this play in the open air, with an all-male cast and Elizabethan costumes, music and dance. Date:  Sunday 28th June 2026 Venue: Front Lawn Time: 6:30pm, doors open at 5:30pm “I know my price, I am worth no worse a place.” Othello, the Moor of Venice, a respected General in the Venetian army, promotes the young Cassio to be his Lieutenant over Iago, a soldier in his service. In doing so he unwittingly sparks Iago’s deep-seated hatred into terrifying life and sets in motion a horrendous spiral of vengeance and destruction that sweeps away everyone before it. As Iago weaves his web and seeks his revenge he poisons Othello against Desdemona, who he has recently and secretly married, and turns the world upside down until Othello becomes unmoored from reality with devastating consequences. “Put out the light, and then put out the light.” A powerful story of deception, jealousy and a man that loved not wisely but too well – this stunning and heartbreakingly poignant play is one you won’t want to miss. Duo Destino – Flamenco Fusion

Date: 4th July 2026 Venue: Waterperry Amphitheatre Time: 5:30-7:30pm Virtuoso guitarists Ben Bruant and Will Cashel – together known as Duo Destino – bring their exhilarating blend of flamenco passion and familiar melodies reimagined in surprising ways to Waterperry Gardens for the very first time. Since meeting at the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2011, Ben (from Le Havre, trained at the Conservatoire National de Paris) and Will (from Bath, a Purcell School scholar and graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music) have captivated audiences across Europe with dazzling fingerwork, rhythmic percussive techniques, and infectious energy. With seven albums, two EPs, and their acclaimed original release Destino (2023) followed by Destino – Live (2024), the duo have performed for royalty, at Glastonbury, the Liverpool Philharmonic, the Edinburgh Fringe, Goodwood, and even the F1 Grand Prix. Their music has been featured on BBC Radio 2, Scala Radio, and they are the resident band on Susannah Constantine’s My Wardrobe Malfunction podcast. During the pandemic, Duo Destino won national recognition with their heartfelt “Gigs in Your Garden” – 70 free concerts performed for NHS and frontline workers, celebrated on BBC Breakfast, Sky News, and in the national press. Now, by popular demand, they bring their Flamenco Fusion to Waterperry Gardens.

Moonrakers

Moonrakers Picnic Concert has become an annual early evening summer event in the beautiful Amphitheatre at Waterperry Gardens. The band of four present sparkling multi-instrumental music and songs played on harp, cello, fretted instruments, flutes, keyboard and female/male vocals. There will be chorus songs, traditional and contemporary folk music, beautiful harmony singing and some terrible jokes! The extended interval allows you to wander the Gardens and enjoy your picnic. Date: Sunday 26th July Time: 6:00pm  (doors , interval 6.45-7.40pm) Finish: 8.30pm Venue: Amphitheatre Tickets: £20 (concessions available) There will be some tickets available on the door, but seating preference will be given to ticket holders.
