Medieval Hereford Festival

We are excited to welcome you to Hereford Cathedral’s first Medieval Festival, in collaboration with the Hereford City BID. On Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August 2026, the cathedral and close will be transported back in time in a celebration of Medieval entertainment, craft, and history. All ages are welcome to come and join in the fun, with demonstrations and activities led by professional re-enactors. Alongside archery, squire training, music, dancing, and historical displays, there will be themed food and craft stalls selling local items. Entry to the cathedral and close on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August will be free, with some paid ticketed events - more details will be announced soon!

The Hereford Mysteries

Friday 23 & Saturday 24 October 2026, 7.30 pm The final stage production as part of Hereford Cathedral's Year of Storytelling will be The Hereford Mysteries, directed by The Revd Canon James Pacey. The Hereford Mysteries is an unforgettable theatrical experience - a sweeping retelling of the Bible’s story from Genesis to Revelation, from creation to new creation. Set within the awe-inspiring space of Hereford Cathedral and driven by a powerful soundtrack, this epic production brings to life God’s story of hope, love, and redemption in a bold and breathtaking new way.
