A whole day to overcome a ‘brick wall’ solve a problem you might be having with a piece of work, perfect new skills, build confidence during a relaxed, friendly day of dedicated sewing and meet like-minded Thimblestitchers. These monthly sessions are for those wanting to work at their own pace on their own individual projects and have a tutor on hand to inspire, guide and encourage. Unfortunately this is not a class for total beginners, curtain making or dressmaking. Before you book online please drop me an email or phone, just to check that there is a space also please provide details of your project. Dressmaking 6 week Course – Afternoon Add your name to the waiting List

with Karen Fanzo Thursday 3rd September 2026 for 6 weeks from 1.00 - 3.00 pm Grab your sewing kit, fabric, pattern and join us for this relaxed and friendly class with a very talented tutor Take your learning at your own pace with your choice of project. For beginners we recommend a basic skirt, simple trousers or simple children’s wear to help you gain confidence in your skills in a practical and encouraging way. If you already have experience but feel slightly rusty then choose a pattern to reflect your level of skill. Or the more experienced could push themselves with their project. The dates for the 6 weeks are the: 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th September 1st & 8th October Workroom: Please be aware that the workroom is upstairs with a kitchen and toilet on the same floor. Mirrorlicious with Karen Fanzo

with Karen Fanzo Date: Saturday 5th September Time: 10:00 – 3:30pm Fancy making this fabulous mirror to fit in with your decor using a variety of techniques. Karen will be on hand during the day to guide you through the process. There is a small piece of freemotion, karen will have designs for you to use on the day or you can design your own ie a design taken from something in the room you would like to hang your mirror. Depends how adventurous you feel. A kit will be available with all you need and an extra kit for different braids/fabrics or you can supply your own if you already have a supply of luscious bits and bobs. Level: This course is perfect for beginners but a small knowledge of freemotion embroidery would be helpful. Workroom: Please be aware that the workroom is upstairs with a kitchen and toilet on the same floor. Requirements: The requirements list will be sent out in plenty of time for the class. You will also need a sewing machine in good working order & freemotion foot.

3 Dimensional Appliqué & Embroidery Hoop with Caroline Michelle – New Date

with Caroline Michelle Saturday 12th September 10.00 - 4pm In Carolines workshop, enjoy creating 3 Dimensional freemotion embroidery designs. You will learn how to develop your basic raw edge applique skills and take them to the next level! This workshop is ideally suited if you have already completed the beginners class or have tried the technique before. With a variety of designs to choose from at different skill levels, this in-depth class covers everything you need to know to make your designs really pop out from your finished framed hoop design. You will be guided through each step carefully and methodically to successfully transfer your chosen image into a lovely finished picture. It’s a great way to use up all those fabric scraps you have been saving at home. Images, tracing paper and embroidery hoops are supplied This workshop is taught by Caroline Michelle who is a Textile artist specialising in freemotion embroidery. Autumn Wreath Embroidery

with Karen Fanzo Saturday 19th September 2026 10:00 – 3.30pm Karen's Embroidery workshops are always so popular so we have added Karen's new design "Autumn Wreath." The photo does not do it justice so please pop into the shop to have a look. Join us for a relaxing, fun day stitching your own. You will be learning lots of stitches along the way so is very suitable for beginners tru to the more advanced. Young wannabe stitchers are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
