Discover your dream wedding venue at The Walled Garden: Wedding Open Evening. Step inside the Walled Garden on Thursday 13th August (4:00pm-7:00pm) to explore our beautiful, secluded venue that dates to 1550. The enchanting garden sits next to Cowdray Ruins, a magnificent landmark visited by royalty including Henry VIII, Edward VI and Elizabeth I. Today, the garden is a truly romantic location to create long-lasting memories of a perfect day. During our open evening, you will have the opportunity to explore the summer garden in full bloom, with a scented herb garden, a variety of rose and lavender borders, an orchard, herbaceous borders, and a central formal lawn surrounding an ornamental pond. Inside, the Walled Garden hosts a private dressing space overlooking the garden and two reception rooms, The Castle Room and The Courtyard Room, which feature characterful stone walls and can accommodate up to 130 standing/100 seated guests. With the glorious garden and two reception rooms inside this Grade II listed building, we can guarantee that you and your guests will have the most magical day, making memories to last a lifetime. Enjoy complimentary canapés and refreshments as you explore our Walled Garden venue. Please note, this is a venue showcase event.

Join Peter and his naughty cousin Benjamin at The Walled Garden on their hair-raising adventures in Quantum Theatre’s delightful adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s much-loved Tales. Quantum Theatre are back with an enchanting new adaptation of two of Beatrix Potter’s best-loved Tales, The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny. Peter and his naughty cousin Benjamin know very well that they are not to go into Mr McGregor’s garden, but they cannot resist and soon they find themselves in all sorts of scrapes, caught in a net, trapped by a snarling cat and face to face with Mr McGregor himself! How will they ever escape? Can Old Mr Bunny come to the rescue in time? And whatever will Mr McGregor make of all those footprints in the flower beds? This outdoor performance of Michael Whitmore’s charming adaptation will have you spellbound, so why not grab the kids, a blanket and a picnic and join Peter and Benjamin on their hair-raising adventures in the beautiful surrounds of the Cowdray Walled Garden.
