Open to all the community serving you with affordable surplus fruit, veg, chilled, frozen and store cupboard items weekly. With the knowledge of our team, we can also help you with meal ideas, how to prepare and cook various foods and how to store. A yearly membership fee of £1 will occur upon joining aswell as a weekly fee of £4 for the food you take home. Our home is within the Oasis Community Hub at Oasis Connaught on Melvin Square. BS41NH

Filwood Chase History Society

Would you like to find out about local history? Come along and view our collection of scale models of local buildings (demolished or hidden from view!) old, local maps and photographs of people and events in the area – past and present. We also have history books, finds from local digs with reports on where found eg Celtic/Roman/Medieval and locally collected fossils. Come and meet us and ask questions – as well as tell us of your local history news and memories. You can find us at Filwood Library every Wednesday from 1-4pm. Changes Bristol Peer Support Groups for Mental Health & Well-being (Age 18+) Wednesdays 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Space for connecting with other people in the community to receive support and share (if you want to) whatever is going on for you that is impacting on your mental health and well-being in an inclusive non-judgemental space. Our aim is to normalise conversations around mental health and try and reduce stigma. Free hot drinks and biscuits available and a warm welcome. No referral, or diagnosis of any mental health condition necessary, just turn up and see what it is like to be part of our wonderfully supportive community. (Adults only – 18+)
