The Rosary

We meet in the Becket Chapel in Thaxted Church at 7.30pm and pray the rosary. In Lent and Advent the rosary is followed by compline (night prayer) for those who wish to stay.

Julian Meeting

1/2 of Silent Prayer, preceded by a short extract from the Revelation of Divine Love, Julian of Norwich. We meet once a month for this, a small gathering currently. I can only say that I find the practice of being with others in silent prayer a very deliberate act, a very worthwhile time. I hesitate to say but the company and shared silence does feel as though filled with grace. This Julian Meetings website (see, 'more info' below) gives plenty of information. Fr David

Jubilate, a benefice-wide service

All are welcome in these all-age inclusive services. Something a little different to our Sunday mornings and part of our shared life as disciples of Jesus Christ. The location is a different church in the benefice each time. In these afternoon services, typically 4pm on the 5th Sunday of the month, when that occurs. The service involves hymns and an activity related to a reading from scripture or the season or feast day of the church. We have a scratch / come and join choir for anyone who would like to be part of leading the sung worship. The choir rehearsal is for no more than an hour before the service. The next Jubilatre service is in Radwinter, the one following in Hempstead, the one following that in Little Sampford
