Technical Young Company Summer 2026

Run by Dan Parry, a highly experienced Technical Professional, this flagship course provides and introduction to professional roles within the backstage industry. Young people who take part will have the opportunity to learn technical and design skills with an integrated stage and production management focus, developing their ability to work as part of the team behind the curtain. The courses explores the following key disciplines:     Lighting Design, Equipment and Operation     Sound Design, Recording and Operation     Set, Props and Costume Design     Stage Management Using the skills that they have learnt on the course, participants take on the roles of designers, stage managers and technicians on the PYC 11-15 and 16-25 productions. Sessions Run on Thursdays weekly Summer Thursday 16 April – Thursday 2 July, 6:45-8:15pm No session on 26th May due to half term Technical company members will also be required on the following dates to work on the PYC 16-25  and PYC 11-15 productions: Sunday, 17 May, 12pm-6pm Saturday, 6 June 12pm-6pm. Sunday 7 June 2026 – Past, Present, Future Festival at Schwarzman Centre, Oxford (timings tbc) Saturday 20 June, 12-6pm. PYC 11-15 Production week: Monday 6 July to Saturday 11 July. Drama 5-8 | Summer 26 (Tuesdays)

Does your child have an incredible imagination? Take the opportunity and see where it leads them in our exciting weekly drama classes. Your child will have a wonderful time learning performance and storytelling skills in a supportive, creative environment. See their confidence grow as they find out what it’s like to be part of a theatre and watch them take to the stage at the end of term performance for friends and family. Drama 5-8: Tuesdays 4:00pm – 5:00pm The course will run from Tuesday 14th April – Tuesday 30th June 2026. There will be no session on the 26th May during half term.   Struggling to find the cash? There are a limited number of free supported places available for all of our activities – perfect for any family who faces significant financial barriers to taking part. 16-25 Young Company 2026

Join Pegasus Young Company 16-25 to embark on an exciting collaborative journey. For all the young theatre makers out there, this is an opportunity to devise a production with us and to perform a professional-quality play at Pegasus, working with local director Emma Webb. All levels of skill and experience are welcome.    In 2026, Pegasus Young Company 16-25, working with the Cultural Programme at the Schwarzman Centre, looks to the future to create a bold new play. Inspired by radical ideas from the past, the ensemble will create a vibrant, contemporary performance that asks urgent questions about the here and now. An extract from the new work will be debuted at The Schwarzman Centre in June 2026 as part of the Past, Present, Future Festival, before expanding into a full production at Pegasus in December 2026.  Sessions run Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm.  Term dates 2026  Summer: Wednesday 15 April to Wednesday to Wednesday 1 July 2026.
