AmaSing We Rise

Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of young voices, powerful stories, and incredible music. AmaSing We Rise brings together children from local schools across the Crewe region for a joyful, uplifting performance celebrating everything they have achieved through this inspiring project. These special shows showcase talent, teamwork, and creativity — with pupils stepping onto the stage to share music that reflects both heritage and contemporary sound. Children will be performing alongside the professional AMASING band of musicians and dancers, giving them the opportunity to experience performing as part of a professional live production. Audiences can expect an exciting and uplifting mix of musical styles, including: Gospel, Jazz , Motown, Reggae, African-inspired rhythms and Hip hop. The music is inspired by the work of influential Black artists who have shaped music history and continue to inspire generations. AmaSing is an award winning inclusive charity and creative arts organisation that works with thousands children and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds and needs to create high-quality musical experiences, placing creativity, collaboration, and celebration at the heart of everything it does. Through projects like We Rise, AmaSing supports children to build confidence, develop their musical voices, and connect with one another through shared creative experiences.

AmaSing Once Upon a Musical is bringing the magic to Crewe Lyceum on 11 June 2026! Step into a world of magic, music and unforgettable moments as AmaSing: Once Upon a Musical arrives at Crewe Lyceum for one spectacular night only. Experience a breathtaking live concert featuring a full 18-piece professional orchestra, powerhouse vocalists, and stunning visuals, bringing to life iconic songs from The Lion King, Wicked, Matilda, Annie, Frozen and more. Under the direction of acclaimed musical director and composer Andy Smith, this dazzling production celebrates the very best of musical theatre packed with soaring melodies, show-stopping performances and big sing-along favourites that will have the whole audience smiling, singing and dancing along. Perfect for families and audiences of all ages, this is more than just a show — it’s a joyful, heart-lifting experience and a truly magical night out. Big songs. Big sound. Big smiles. A Show with Purpose This special performance is part of an exciting pilot project launching AmaSing’s 2027 schools programme, which will bring music, creativity and wellbeing support to 80 schools across Cheshire, reaching thousands of young people. In collaboration with the Royal Northern College of Music and LIPA, the production also provides paid professional opportunities for emerging musicians, supporting the next generation of talent.

The Somme: 110 Years On

Following the success of Cheshire East Reflects 2016 - The Somme: 110 Years On commemorates the Fallen and their families from Crewe and surrounding communities with a powerful and emotional tribute. Real stories and first-hand accounts from those who lived through the First World War are brought vividly to life in a brand-new poignant evening of music, dance, song and drama. What to expect A meticulously researched, locally rooted narrative drawn from soldiers’ true accounts and the memories of Crewe residents. A live stage performance of the final episode of Blackadder Goes Forth recreating the spirit and humour of the frontline Performances by Crewe Brass Band, Fox Dance Academy, local students and vocalists, featuring original scores by Crewe-born composer and Director of Music Adam Shilton. The premiere of a newly commissioned film with a live soundtrack finale designed to immerse the audience in the thoughts, feelings and sacrifices of our local heroes. Made possible by local organisations and local council support, this event unites Crewe in an unforgettable act of remembrance and commemoration. Don’t miss this moving commemoration of courage and community history.
