Strength Circuit with Bristol Cooperative Gym

Strength Circuit with Bristol Cooperative Gym Bristol Co-operative Gym is the only member-owned gym in the UK. They are set up in 2016 to offer an inclusive, welcoming space for exercise free from assumptions around identity, appearance and ability. Being member-run means they can provide social health and fitness activities tailored to our members’ reasons for training and develop a culture that supports us in achieving our goals, both individually and collectively. What sort of classes run? Strength circuit, Strong and steady, Functional HIIT, All-round weightlifting, Stretch and strengthen and more. About the space The gym is located on the top floor of our dynamic, creative and community hub. The team have refurbished their space into a purpose-built design, perfect for fitness classes and activities, with newly fitted flooring and storage.

Our sessions progress in a 20-week cycle of increasing amounts of work, but you can join at any time. A range of movement options are always given, so you can get an effective workout regardless of your current fitness and familiarity with the exercises!

Open every Thursday, 10 November – 30 March, 10am – 5pm. Come and visit out community living room in St Anne’s House. We are open for everyone, it is your space, to make a cuppa, read a book or meet a new neighbour. What to expect? Strength Circuit with Bristol Cooperative Gym

All the benefits of resistance training without any of the crappy culture that’s become attached to it – just effective strength training with barbells and bodyweight. In this class you will learn safe and efficient exercises that develop strength and mobility through moving against resistance. We will use a circuit of movements that have been carefully selected by our coaches to suit the needs of our members. Multiple options are given so you can choose an intensity that suits what you’re feeling that day.
