Musical in a Week: High School Musical

Join us for Chelmsford Theatre’s annual Musical in a Week! This year we are excited to offer two programmes, a performers programme and a technical programme. Please read the below information to find out more about the programmes and how to book. Working with Grace, a talented choreographer and musical theatre tutor, and Andrea, our experience director and acting coach, a group of 30 young people will bring High School Musical (one act version) to life in just one week! This five day process will involve full dance routines, singing workshops, acting masterclasses and full rehearsals. Bringing to life all the classics like ‘We’re All In This Together’ and ‘Breaking Free’, the team of young people will work together to bring together a full production. This will be performed in the Chelmsford Theatre studio on the final Friday to parents and careers, with full lighting and sound! We will ensure that every child has a speaking part and is fully involved in the production. We cannot promise particular roles or a lead role to every participant. Key parts of costume will be provided, however some base items, or easily sourced items, may need to be provided by parents/careers – for example a white shirt. To take part in Musical as a Week Performers Pathway, please purchase a ticket.
