Creeper

CREEPER’s ‘Sanguivore’ proved to be their most career defining album to date, propelling them to their biggest headline show at the OVO Wembley Arena. Their new album ‘SANGUIVORE II: MISTRESS OF DEATH’ which will be released on Halloween (Oct 31st) goes deeper into that narrative. After enamouring devotees and newcomers alike with the double shot of tracks ‘Headstones’ and ‘Blood Magick (It’s A Ritual)’, CREEPER continue to cast a spell of anticipation with the new single ‘Prey For The Night’. Throwback darkwave synth stabs flail into the darkness as ‘Prey For The Night’ gets underway, with William von Ghould’s sinister baritone setting the scene. From there it becomes a characteristically lavish and larger-than-life sound, blending classic ‘80s hard rock riffage, a searing Steinman-esque chorus, theatrical vocal interplay with keyboardist Hannah Greenwood and a blast of saxophone. Even the title is possessed by a devilishly dark double meaning. CREEPER’s ambition is to always go bigger, grander and more unpredictable than before – and that’s what they’veachieved with ‘SANGUIVORE II: MISTRESS OF DEATH’. The story follows a British rock band immersed in the decadence of an American tour at the height of the Satanic Panic of the ‘80s. Yet each stop leaves fresh decay in the shape of a mysterious trail of deceased fans. The world is quick to lay blame at the bloodied hands of the band, but there’s more to this story than is first apparent...

Billy Lockett

Hello I’m Billy Lockett. I’m a piano man. I grew up in a small town in the UK called Northampton with my crazy hippy dad. He encouraged me to have a career in music. After a few years things started to happen, I was playlisted on Radio 1 and went on tour supporting Birdy, Lana del Rey and KT Tunstall. Dad died. I stopped everything and came back home. Went off the rails a bit. Got a cat. Spent the next 2 years in thecellar of my dad’s house writing songs. Grew an afro accidentally. Moved to probably the smallest room in London. Played every open mic night in the city for a year. Sold out my firstheadline show. Got signed. Cut afro off. Spent another 2 years writing. Went off the rails again. Got help. Performedon Made In Chelsea as Josh’s baby shower gift to Binky…. obviously. Toured with Lewis Capaldi and Electric Light Orchestra. Put my own tour on sale. Sold it out. Blew my mind. Broke upwith my record label. Broke up with my Girlfriend…. well… she dumped me… (on WhatsApp!). Broke my heart. Moved back to my dad’s old house (with cat). Wrote and recorded an EP called Reset. Became mates with JamesCorden. Performed live on the Late Late Show. Got new managers. Wrote, recorded, performed and self-released amodern classical piano-only album. It charted and got played on Classic FM. At the same time a DnB track I sang onwas getting played on Radio 1. Made History as the first artist to do that. Put Reflections EP together. Loved every song. Felt empowered.
