An Afternoon of Indie – Indie for the over 30s

The UK's biggest indie party, in 17 cities, is returning to Liverpool for another Afternoon of Indie at The Arts Club. Old School Indie - The indie night for the over 30s are once again joining forces with Feeling Gloomy & Age Against The Machine to bring you a special 3pm-7pm Afternoon of Indie. Feeling Gloomy & Old School Indie DJs will be playing a mix of indie classics from across the decades so whether you were an 70s punk, 80s new waver, 90s britpopper or early 00s poser they'll be something for everyone. The party will finish at 7pm so you can head down the pub to continue your night our or you could just go home and watch some Saturday night TV with a take away. There is a strict door policy of no under 30s, so please bring ID as you will be asked to show it upon entry What to expect: The best in indie from: Bowie, Pulp, The Clash, The Jam, The Cure, Blur, Arctic Monkeys, Joy Division, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, New Order, The Strokes, Supergrass, Franz Ferdinand, Nirvana, Ash, Rolling Stones, Primal Scream, The Killers, Sultans of Ping, Oasis, The Buzzcocks, Ramones, The Specials, EMF, Blondie, Hole, Madness, The La's, Weezer, The Cardigans, The Housemartins, The Coral, The Undertones, Inspiral Carpets, Bloc Party, The Beatles, Carter USM, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radiohead, Suede, Echo and The Bunnymen, Pixies, The Wonder Stuff, Depeche Mode plus the odd bit of rock n roll, soul, northern soul and ska!

+ support from: Saint AgnesBefore the birth of the BVB Army, the countless fan tattoos, and the gold and platinum records that followed, Black Veil Brides was simply a dark vision dreamed up by an only child in Cincinnati, Ohio. Andy Biersack grew up obsessed with monsters, real and imagined, and with Batman, KISS, the Misfits, and The Phantom of the Opera. The evocative iconography of religion and complex feelings about his Catholic heritage fueled explorations of the arcane, primal, and often destructive allure of belief. Sworn to a life of purpose through expression and convinced of the power of the outcast, Andy weaponized his fears and fascinations, culminating in the“birth” and ascension of Black Veil Brides. Guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, drummer Christian Coma, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and Biersack celebrated several milestones in recent years, including massive shows in London and Mexico City. “Bleeders” was a Top 10 hit at Active Rock radio and a several-month-long mainstay on YouTube’s Hard Rock & Metal chart (which tracks both current and catalog music videos) in 2024 and 2025. The group’s cinematic scope and unwavering commitment to self-expression strike a familiar chord with fellow “bleeders” who seek refuge (and revenge) in the power of dark themes and imagination.

Pinhani

Pinhani rose to prominence in 2006 with their debut album “İnandığın Masallar.” Over the following 13 years, they released six more albums, with their latest, “Yollar Bizi Bekler,” launched on 15 February 2019. Known for blending their original songs with traditional Turkish folk music, Pinhani has performed extensively across Turkey and in many cities around the world, particularly in Europe. The band is led by songwriter Sinan Kaynakcı, joined by Selim Aydın (bass), Hami Ünlü (drums), and Eray Polat (guitar), with occasional contributions from renowned guitarist Akın Eldes and multi-instrumentalist Ertan Şahin.
