Walk into a world of wonders where, in words of Coleridge, ‘a luxury of landscapes’ will meet your gaze and all your senses. Connect with the landscape that inspired Coleridge's poetry and explore a landscape mix including close encounters with woodland ans streams as well as open fields and vast panoramas with one our walk leaders. Dogs on a lead are welcome on this walk. Normal admission applies to attendees wanting to visit Coleridge Cottage, but the tearoom can be used free of charge.

Moving through the rooms of Coleridge Cottage, the tour brings hidden stories to light, including the resilience and resourcefulness of his wife Sara Fricker as well as his creative and intellectual friendship with Dorothy Wordsworth. *Please note that that these tours are subject to volunteer availability. The tour is free to attend, normal admission applies to non-members.

Meet at Coleridge Cottage and set off on this beginner walk around the charming village of Nether Stowey. From the home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge to St Mary's Church and a trip up to Castle Mount, this walk is the perfect introduction to Coleridge and the village that shaped his work. Dogs on a lead are welcome on this walk. Normal admission applies to attendees wanting to visit Coleridge Cottage, but the tearoom can be used free of charge.

Wordsworth’s home to Coleridge Cottage| Walks Programme

Join our walk leaders on a ramble between Kilve, Alfoxton and Nether Stowey. Take in the vast panoramic view, spot wildlife and connect with nature like Coleridge once did on his walk on the hills with his friends. Along the way, see where the Wordsworth’s lived during their time in the area and discover the path, they took on their way to Coleridge Cottage. Dogs on a lead are welcome on this walk. Normal admission applies to attendees wanting to visit Coleridge Cottage, but the tearoom can be used free of charge. Level: Intermediate/Advanced Distance: 6.4 miles Duration: 4 hours Total ascent: 300 meters (with multiple hills)
