Time: Sunday, 26 April 2026 at 11:00Details: The Annual Meeting of Parishioners and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting / These meetings take place each year by 31st May. / / The Annual Meeting of Parishioners is held to elect two Churchwardens, who assist the Vicar to run the Parish and have particular responsibilities for parish buildings and physical property. / / This meeting can be attended by all parishioners and all are invited to attend. The serving Churchwardens are eligible for re-election but, like all other candidates, must be nominated and seconded. / / Candidates and nominators must be on the Parish Electoral Roll. / / The Annual Parochial Church Meeting is open to those whose names are on the Parish Electoral Roll. Under the Church of England’s Representation Rules it must conduct the following business: / / (a) To appoint lay members to the Parochial Church Council (PCC). In 2026 there are three posts to be filled, to serve for three years. The members completing their term of service are able to stand for re-election. / / (b) To appoint lay members to the Deanery Synod. (If there are vacant posts to be filled) / / c) To appoint an Independent Examiner of the PCC accounts. (d) To receive a report on changes to the Electoral Roll. / / (e) To consider the Annual Report on the PCC proceedings and Parish activities, which will include reports on the fabric, goods and ornaments of the Church and on the proceedings of the Deanery Synod.
