Wandering Folk: Songs and Reflections

Join folk musician Ellie Beare for a gentle walk through the rewilding at Sharpham interspersed with folk songs old and new which take inspiration from the natural world. Together we’ll soak up the landscape and consider what these songs can teach us about our own connection to nature. Review from a previous participant: 'It was heartful, memorable and and a beautiful reflection of the place, nature and people'. Suitable for adults and older children (9+). No dogs please. Just under 1 1/2 miles of mixed terrain, including stiles and a moderately steep hill. Please wear good footwear and dress for the weather.

Deepening Nature Connection: a 5-night Woodland Retreat

Experience mindfulness meditation and a transformative connection to nature – in an incredible Woodland Retreat setting far from life's frantic pace. Sharpham Woodland Retreat participants speak of feelings of gratitude, wonder, calm, self-insight and positive emotions afterwards. Participants explore the gardens and the wider estate guided by our experienced leaders. Our Woodland Retreats run seasonally from June to September.

Find Your Peace: a 3-night Silent Retreat in Sharpham House

Experience quiet and stillness for an extended time, within supportive company in a beautiful, nurturing setting. In an increasingly frenetic world, with so many competing demands for our time and attention, this silent retreat offers a precious opportunity for spaciousness and stillness. You’ll be in a safe and supportive setting, allowing you to deepen into mindfulness practice and your experience of silence, in the tranquil setting of Sharpham House and Estate. This 3-night retreat is a chance to turn inward and to let go of the daily struggles that can so easily get in the way of the simplicity, freedom and joy in each present moment. There will be a maximum of 28 participants on this retreat. This is one of our most spacious and least structured retreats and as such is for people who already have prior experience of being on a retreat or of mindfulness meditation. If you are new to mindfulness and retreats, you might like to consider joining our Mindfulness for Beginners retreats, which run on a monthly basis.
