Newday is one of the largest Christian events for young people that takes place in the UK every year. Young people aged right through their teenage years and on into their early 20s join together from churches up and down the UK and Europe to learn about and worship God, camp out together and soak in the summer festival feeling, leaving Newday further along in their relationship with Jesus.Book now! NOW, NOT LATEROur nation desperately needs Jesus. Summer Sunday

I Am The Bread Of Life This week we'll have an 'open table' service with activities that will bring us together as a whole church family, with extra provision for our youngest members. We'll have activities, worship, hear from God's word and pray together. Join us for what promises to be an interactive and encouraging service. Our theme this week is I Am The Bread Of Life Summer at Jubilee – Summer SundaysSunday 26th July sees the first of our Summer Sundays at Jubilee. This means we will have slightly shorter meetings (10.30am – 11.30am) and that there won't be any children's work (FROG Club) or creche. Please do thank and encourage our children's teams as they have faithfully served us so well this year and deserve a well-earned break! To help us all engage with services over the summer, we'll be alternating our service formats between a shorter standard service, which will include our children and youth, and a more interactive service with activities, worship, a short talk and prayer response together as a family. This summer we're going to be looking at some of the 'I Am' statements Jesus made in the gospels and we'll be hearing from some new and returning speakers. Our hope and prayer is that as we discover more about Jesus this summer, we'll be shaped more into His likeness and bring the good news to those around us, whatever our age.

Guest Speaker - Markus & Leah Weber

Join us on Sunday 02 August 2026 when our special guests will be Markus & Leah Weber and their family. Markus and Leah lead the church planting team of 'Erlebt Kirche' (He Lives) church in Chemnitz, eastern Germany. In July 2023, Markus and Leah moved to Chemnitz with their family to plant the church. Markus is originally from Germany and Leah from the UK. They met while studying theology in Marburg. For 15 years they lived in Stafford and worked as part of the leadership team of Wildwood Church. They are currently in the UK to visit family and join in the Newday. They'll be sharing an update and stories of what God has dones since they were last with us just over a year ago as well as preaching for us. Please do join us!

Sabbath Sunday

Why Sabbath Sunday?It has been our practice for many years to take a break over the August Bank Holiday weekend and for one Sunday during the Christmas holidays. However, now we're being more intentional about what we call these Sundays hence the name 'Sabbath Sunday'. It may be an odd thing to consider having a 'Sabbath Sunday' where we don't gather together. After all, for much of church history hasn't Sunday been considered a day of rest? Known as the Lord's Day or even referred to as the 'sabbath', Sundays have been a day for worship and a break from usual routines. Yet, today Sunday can be anything but restful, especially for the many people who serve our church on Sundays, not only that but those who work in service industries which are now often open 7 days. So, a Sabbath Sunday then, is an intentional time to pause the work of organising church life and give our focus more fully to the Lord, so that we all get a chance for a rest. When?Our first 'Sabbath Sunday' will be on Sunday 30th August to make the most of the bank holiday weekend. We won't be gathering at Trinity which will be closed for the day. What should I do instead?Well, it's up to you but perhaps you could find some creative ways to be community or to spend time with God, either as individuals, as a family or with other friends. The truth is, taking time to pause, pray, and re-position ourselves is a profound act of worship.

The Ripple Effect - MND Support Group

A New Support Group for Those Living with MNDThe Ripple Effect Living with Motor Neurone Disease touches every part of life, not just for the person diagnosed but for the family and friends who care for them. That's why we're starting a new monthly support group here at Jubilee Church Derby, offering a warm and welcoming space for people affected by MND to come together. Over coffee and cake, you'll have the chance to meet others who understand what you're going through, share your stories, struggles and joys, and simply be among people who get it. The group is run by people with real, lived experience of MND, so whether you're newly diagnosed, further along your journey, or caring for someone who is, you'll be among friends. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at The Trinity Centre, Green Lane, Derby, DE1 1RZ. Parking is available nearby at Little City Car Park, Forester Street, DE1 1PQ. There's no need to book, just come along and join us for a relaxed morning of conversation and company. Anyone affected by MND, whether living with the condition or caring for someone who is, is very welcome. Guest Speaker - Andy Robinson

We're pleased to confirm that Andy Robinson will be with us on Sunday 4th October, Andy is a great friend of Jubilee and has served us many times over the years. Andy & Hazel have been part of the team at Lifespring Horsham for many years and they have two grown up sons. Recently Andy stood down from eldership at Lifespring to focus full time on the work of Waymaker a charity working into Africa, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He previously worked in the IT industry as a programmer and latterly in software as a marketing director. They are keen bikers and love to tour parts of Europe and the UK in their spare time. Andy is part of the ChristCentral team and Hazel is a pharmacist working in the NHS. Andy has recently released a book 'The Big C In Me', a profoundly honest, vulnerable, and practical guide for navigating life with a cancer diagnosis, specifically through the lens of the Christian faith. If you are looking for a book that offers more than just 'easy answers' or 'toxic positivity' in the face of suffering. It serves as a powerful reminder, that as Christians we balance the miraculous power of God in one hand and the raw, difficult reality of human pain in the other, without ever shying away from the tension between the two. The Orchard Women's Conference

The Orchard Women's Conference Date: Saturday 10 October 2026 Time: Registration from 9:30am; conference runs 10:30am – 7:30pm Location: ICC, Birmingham A group of ladies from Jubilee are heading to The Orchard Women's Conference this October, and would love for others from our church to join us.
