About the event:Danish consultants Rasmussen Nordic work with music ensembles across Denmark to produce practical tools for building a bigger, happier and more loyal audience base. With a particular focus on drawing new audiences in to classical music concerts, this event will be useful for any instrumental or vocal ensembles, or promoting groups looking for new ideas. Bringing new and more audiences to concerts is a top aspiration for most Making Music members, and often fundamental to bringing in the income you need to keep running and developing. But do you feel you’ve tried everything without much effect? We are excited to introduce you to our guest speakers, Rasmussen Nordic, who are experts in finding new and effective tools for audience development, with a particular interest in breaking down barriers to classical music attendance, and connecting with local community audiences. Rasmussen Nordic are a Danish consultancy whose sole focus in recent years has been audience development with the classical music community across Denmark. They work with the DEOO (Danske Ensembler, Orkestre og Operainstitutioner) - an association that represents the interests of professional ensembles, orchestras, and opera institutions – on a long term project called “Tutti – Music closer to the audience”, strengthening the capacity of orchestras and ensembles to work strategically with audience and business development.
