"Felt in the blood, and felt along the heart" – Romantic Imagination and Indigestion in the Nineteenth Century – is the latest Talk and Tea event arranged by the Friends of Holy Saviour Church. This talk by Gavin Budge will explore the relationship between Romantic poets such as Wordsworth and Coleridge and nineteenth-century medical ideas. The talk will be followed by the usual amazing tea! 3:00pm on Sunday 7th June 2026 at Holy Saviour Church, Radcliffe Road, Hitchin SG5 1QG. Tickets £12 on the door. Do come – all are welcome!

Balti Buddies

Balti Buddies, is particularly (but not exclusively!) for the guys who can’t make it to Bacon Buddies on a Saturday morning, and takes place on the second Friday of every month at 8.00pm. *Bacon Buddies takes place on the last Saturday of every month, and has been voted a great success by those who come. So if you fancy some male bonding over breakfast and melamine tables, do join us at the Hitchin Cafe, Hermitage Road, on the last Saturday from 8.30am to 10.00am.
