A Foreigners Journey Friday 24 July, 7:30pm - Theatre All tickets £28.50 Legendary bands Foreigner and Journey are giants of the AOR (Adult Orientated Rock) and Classic Rock genres, attracting huge audiences as live acts since forming in the 1970’s. The two bands have achieved massive commercial and critical success and both sold in excess of 80 million albums, with their supreme musical quality ensuring that they’ve never been victims of trends or passing fashions, and even their earliest hits are still being played on radio shows worldwide every day. Sadly for those in the UK, their shows over here have been few and far between, and most fans of their music have not experienced the thrill of hearing it played live. Thankfully, however, the next best thing is here in the shape of the award-winning band A FOREIGNERS JOURNEY. A Foreigners Journey proudly won both the “UK’s Number 1 Tribute to Foreigner” and the “UK’s Number 1 Tribute to Journey” awards at the National Tribute Music Awards. Their talent has also been acknowledged by Jeff Pilson, bass player of Foreigner, who said “Check out this amazing band, they rock!” They have toured throughout the UK and Europe for the last 12 years, headlined a number of festivals and played to packed theaters and venues, safely establishing themselves as one of the most respected and known tribute shows around.

Summer Musical Theatre Workshop

Summer Musical Theatre Workshop From Monday 27 July - Saturday 1 August, 9am - 5pm daily £188 for the whole week per student This summer why not take part in a week-long series of workshops aimed at improving your musical theatre skills. The workshops (9am-5pm daily) are being run by Enchanted Entertainment, producers of Weymouth Pavilion’s Christmas and Easter Pantomimes and will centre on singing, acting and dancing performance techniques as well as general stage craft. At the end of the week, children put all their hard work into a performance on the Weymouth Pavilion stage in front of a live audience on Saturday 1st August! The Summer School is about getting young people (aged 8-18) involved in performing, whatever their experience or ability. It is also a chance for them to spend time with others who love singing, dancing and acting. Enchanted Entertainment will give children an energetic, fun-filled week, learning songs and routines from a variety of well-known West End and Broadway musicals and then performing in the show itself on the final Saturday.
