Equinox Creative Flow Art & Soundbath

Autumn Equinox Creative Flow Art and Soundbath Wellbeing Workshop Relaxing seated soundbath session followed by nature-inspired mixed-media art-making to encourage creative confidence and practical skills. What is a Sound Bath and what are the benefits? A sound bath is a full body immersive experience in which people are "bathed" in harmonious sounds. The different sound waves and vibrations can aid relaxation and have a therapeutic, re-energising and restorative effect on mind and body The sound waves produced by the instruments can stimulate alpha brain waves associated with a light meditative state, daydreaming and relaxation and theta brain waves associated with sleep or a deeper meditative state. The sounds of the instruments can also help to focus the mind away from thoughts and distractions by providing a focal point for our "busy" minds. Being in a relaxed or meditative state can also help to regulate the nervous system, slowing down our breathing and heart rate and have a calming effect on the body, helping to reduce feelings of stress, tension in the body, improve sleep, and promote spiritual growth and wellbeing. All abilities welcome. Please Note: Sound baths are not recommended if you have a pacemaker, other metal implants, sound induced epilepsy, serious heart conditions, acute or severe mental health condition or for women who are pregnant. There will be a consent form to fill in on the day.
