Brilliant International Musicians Series: Max Mostovetski (piano)

Max Mostovetski – PianoMax Mostovetski began piano lessons at the age of five in Leipzig with Kateryna Blyum, with whom he studied for 14 years. He has won numerous prizes at international competitions, including first prizes at the National Bach Competition (Köthen), the Carl Schroeder Piano Competition, the Kiwanis Piano Competition, the Grotrian-Steinweg International Piano Competition, and the German National Youth Music Competition, as well as second prize at the International C.M. von Weber Competition. As a soloist, Max has performed concertos by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schumann with orchestras such as the Heidelberg Philharmonic, Dresden University Orchestra, Gotha-Eisenach Philharmonic, and Leipzig Youth Symphony Orchestra. He also gives regular recitals across Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. Max is currently studying at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar with Professor Grigory Gruzman. RNLI - The Lifeboat Concert - 2026. Marlborough, Wiltshire

This year the RNLI are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their Beach Lifeguard Service. Join us for a lively evening of seafaring songs and verse with the talented and versatile Dodecantus Chamber Choir. As well as giving concerts in the local area they have undertaken European tours, performing at inspirational venues including Seville Cathedral, L’Abbaye de Fontenay and St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valetta, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. They have been regularly engaged to sing Choral Evensong a Cathedrals throughout the country but for this special event they will definitely be letting their hair down. Expect songs ranging from Holst to Queen, Bob Chilcott to Spike Milligan ; songs about pilchards and brave lifeboat crews; rhythms of jazz and traditional Zulu music.

LolliHop Puppet Show : Nutcracker in spring

Nutcracker in Spring is a fresh interpretation of the well-loved festive tale, reimagined for Spring and Summertime. Lori Hopkins fuses her unique blend of storytelling and intricate puppetry to take family audiences on a journey into young Clara’s world on the day of her birthday. Clara receives an unusual gift from her odd relative – a handmade, funny-looking nutcracker. Clara finds herself catapulted into a world of magic, sweets and sunshine on a mission to save her nutcracker! The show features ballet-dancing puppets, a sinister Mouse King, an abundance of flowers and plenty more surprises. A special ‘Meet-the-Puppets’ session following the performance. Brilliant International Musicians Series: Jamie Cochrane (piano) and Basil Alter (violin)

Jamie Cochrane – PianoPraised for playing of “delicacy and vigour” with “great clarity,” Jamie Cochrane is equally at home as a concerto soloist, song accompanist, and chamber musician. A Tillett Trust Debut Artist, he recently won first prize at the 2024 Norah Sande Award and was runner-up at the 2025 Bromsgrove International Musicians’ Competition. His concerto appearances include Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with Colchester Symphony Orchestra and Bernstein’s The Age of Anxiety with the de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra, alongside recitals at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford. Jamie studied at Merton College, Oxford, where he graduated with a first-class degree and later held a Graduate Musician in Residence post at St Hilda’s College. From 2019 to 2022 he was pianist for the contemporary group Ensemble ISIS, collaborating with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has recently completed his Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music, where he was awarded the DipRAM for outstanding performance in his final recital. Basil Alter – ViolinAmerican violinist Basil Alter is quickly establishing himself on international stages. In the 2025–2026 season, highlights include concerts in New York with pianist Ariel Lanyi, chamber performances with the Memphis Chamber Music Society, and concerto appearances with the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra, Samson Orchestra, and Guildford Symphony.

Be prepared to sing, laugh and maybe shed a tear or two ast hey share songs from the sublime to the ridiculous. Definitely not your ordinary male voice choirs. St Peter’s is a much-loved Marlborough landmark and highly valued by audiences and performers alike. At a time when many venues are struggling with increased costs, all proceeds from this concert will go to support the St Peter’s Charitable Trust and their work in preserving the venue for the community. The Magnificent AKs are the uniquely hilarious award-winning singing machine from that tranquil corner of North Wiltshire, Ashton Keynes. Nobody knows the exact reason why, but in 2008 the men of the village started to sing. They sang about sheds. And duct tape. And beer. Infact, they sang about everything that was important to them.From such humble beginnings the troupe has ascended the greasy pole to perform in (among other places) Bristol Beacon (formerly The Colston Hall) and The Roundhouse as well as appearing live on Radio 3’s ‘The Choir’. Singing on Windmills, White Horses, and at Stonehenge,gave them the title for their first CD ‘Monumental’ and a later visit to the Giant’s Cause wayinspired their second recording ‘Gigantic’.

Brilliant International Musicians Series: Paddington Trio

Seen as the one of the most exciting chamber ensembles of their generation, the Paddington Trio has been recognized in international competitions and live performances for their fresh interpretations and exuberant energy. As did the famous bear, Finnish violinist Tuulia Hero, Irish cellist Patrick Moriarty and American pianist Stephanie Tang have made London their home and emerged as an ensemble of an entirely unique and lasting entity. The trio is celebrated for its close and energetic communication, insightful and imaginative programming as well as its highly refined ensemble playing. The trio’s grand mission is to bridge the gap between new listeners and serious classical music enthusiasts by welcoming everyone into their living room of musical discovery and shared love of chamber music.
