After this short 1 hours introductory session you will be able to: •To understand what digital exclusion is including reflecting on your own use of digital. •To appreciate who may be offline or unable to use digital tools in Stockport – myth buster. •To have the ability to list DigiKnow activities and signpost people if required. •To have the confidence to support people in Stockport who are not able to benefit fully from digital. •To identify next steps. The 1 hour session we be delivered on Microsoft Teams and the link will be sent to your email address 48 hours before the session. If you have any issues with accessing Microsoft Teams or you have any additional learning needs then please contact (opens in new tab) and we will see what further support we can offer. Starting Point store all learner details securely and all diversity data is anonymised and used for analysis. Your information will be held by Starting Point for the period of time required by Stockport Council in relation to the course you have taken part in. In addition, we may share attendee names with Stockport college and council staff to ensure we are targeting the correct people to our training. You have the right to access, change or ask for your data to be deleted and can withdraw consent for data sharing. You are able to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office should you feel it necessary to do so.

In these sessions, we will: (1) identify essential digital skills for life and for work (2) learn how to use various free online learning platforms and digital training resources (3) understand barriers to digital inclusion (4) understand the importance of listening and its role within digital inclusion (5) signpost learners and community members to additional support available (6) know the next steps as a volunteer and how to best support the scheme moving forward To ensure that your needs are catered for and that you receive a certificate on successful completion of your chosen course/courses, please complete the information below. Responses are required for all starred questions. Additional questions asked give us information to ensure our training meets your expectations. Starting Point store all learner details securely and all diversity data is anonymised and used for analysis.
