Neuro Divergent Sewing 18-25's Group

Do you enjoy sewing or have always wanted to learn? Our Neuro Divergent sewing group is for 18-25 year old's who want to learn to sew or develop their sewing skills, make friends and develop confidence. Some of our group are learning how to make some part - time income from their new hobby! Frequently Asked Questions: Our class sizes are small ( up to 6 people) and there are always 2 tutors to help you. You don't have to have previous skills beginners are welcome. All materials and equipment are provided so you don't need to bring anything but if you want to bring your own sewing project that is OK too. Drinks are provided but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. If you're feeling anxious you are welcome to bring a parent or friend until you feel a bit more confident. Thursday Quilting Group

Our Thursday Quilting Group is a great place to learn new techniques, get together with other quilters, have fun and get creative. We have a fully equipped sewing studio with Bernina Sewing Machines, an Industrial Walking Foot Machine, lots of rulers, rotary cutters and a small selection of fabrics so you don't have to carry all your kit although you can do if you wish! we also have loads of resources, books, magazines etc. Some of our quilters are experienced some are quite new but it's a friendly space and expert tuition is on hand.

We are a community Sewing Hub Run by a dedicated team of experienced dressmakers and quilters In the Centre of Bury. Neuro - Divergent Friendly Sewing

Our Neuro - Divergent Sewing session is co-produced and delivered by members of our sewing community with lived experience of neuro- diversity. We have quiet spaces to indulge in some slow stitching, embroidery, knitting and crochet or for the more advenurous our sewing studio will be open to use the sewing machines and studio equipment. Tutors/support is available all afternoon. Frequently asked questions What do I need to Bring? You don't need to bring anything with you as we have fabric , yarn , patterns and everything you need to get you started. We ask for a small donation for the materials you use on the day. We have scissors, and all haberdashery but you can also bring your own. If you wish to bring a project of your own that is OK too! Are there toilet facilities? Yes we have a toilet for your use with disabled access Can I bring my own refreshments? Yes you can. Tea, coffee and squash is included in the cost and is available throughout the session , we also have biscuits and occasionally cake! Do feel free to bring your own drinks, snacks or a sandwich. Can I charge my phone and is there Wifi? Yes we have wifi and you can charge your phone. I have never sewn before , will someone be able to help me? Yes , we have tutors available for the whole session who will be able to help you out and get you started.
