What's on in Newtown

Worcestershire, England

From craft workshops the kids won't stop asking about to quiz nights that'll test your knowledge of Worcestershire trivia (yes, really) — Newtown has it sorted. Coffee mornings, farmers' markets, film screenings, book clubs, open mic nights, toddler groups, and the occasional village fête that runs like clockwork. All the events that happen in village halls and community centres and local venues that the big listings sites don't bother with. We check the parish council pages, the library noticeboards, the venue websites buried three clicks deep. If it's happening locally and it's worth knowing about, it's here.

Club Shortlisted For Two Efl Awards

- Huddersfield Town shortlisted for two EFL Awards; ceremony on Sunday 19 April- Club nominated for both EFL Fan Engagement Award and EFL Diversity Award- Tom Iorpenda also nominated for EFL Sky Bet League Two Young Player of the Year We are proud to have again been shortlisted at the annual EFL Awards, with the Club’s ongoing progressive work off the field being recognised in both the EFL Fan Engagement and EFL Diversity categories! Both endeavours that form part of our wider Terriers Together mission, these nominations underline the Club’s continued commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all areas. Working alongside First Bus in the local area, our Terriers Together Travel initiative has allowed supporters from disadvantaged areas better access and opportunity to attend Men’s First Team fixtures at the Accu Stadium, with many of them joining us in HD1 for the very first time as a result. Shortlisted in the EFL Fan Engagement Award category, the initiative has seen families experience first-hand the cultural, social and sporting benefits of a live football match, which helps those involved gain confidence and develop a stronger sense of belonging and inclusion within the wider community.Speaking about the collaboration with First Bus at the time, Head of Supporter Experience Robyn Kennerdale commented: “It was wonderful to welcome so many young supporters on Saturday – for many, it was their first ever Town match, which is such a big moment.
