Tenor Carl Daniels, whose specialism lies in musical theatre, brings a voice of clarity, warmth and expressive power. At the heart of the evening, however, is a very special star: the piano itself. In 1970, local music lover Alan Shepherd led a fundraising effort to purchase a beautiful Yamaha baby grand piano as a gift to the Athenæum.
