Afro Cuban Beats – Sierra Sounds in Somerset Saturday 18th April 6-11pm Bringing together music, stories and flavours of Afro-Cuban heritage from the Sierra Maestra to Somerset. On Wednesday 22nd April Join the Wild Block Company Indian Block Printing Workshop! Come to a relaxed, guided session using ancient techniques and take home your own beautiful textile creations. Step away from the noise of everyday life and spend a relaxed morning immersed in the traditional craft of wooden block printing. These small, guided workshops are designed for beginners and those simply curious to explore this beautiful technique. You will be gently led through the process of printing using hand-carved wooden blocks, learning how to build pattern, layer colour and enjoy the rhythm of making by hand. All materials are provided, and no previous experience is needed. The focus is on slowing down, experimenting freely and enjoying the creative process in a welcoming, supportive setting. By the end of the session, you will have created two finished pieces to take home.
