Age 4-10 Summer Holiday Club

Menu: S’Mores Cookies; Chicken Burger and Loaded Fries. Our new 4-10 holiday club has been designed so that siblings can come along to the same class! There will be plenty to keep the older children busy, whilst still remaining accessible and fun for the younger ones. Description: S’Mores Cookies – The children will make their own digestive biscuits and cookie dough for this delicious mash-up of two popular sweet treats! Chicken Burger with Loaded Fries – We will get busy learning breading, using gadgets, and combining flavours to create this yummy meal. They will (hopefully) take their cookies home (if they are not eaten!) so please bring along tupperware. In between making there will be colouring and activities in our dining room. We do provide water during the class but they are welcome to bring their own drink bottle. Important stuff: All children are dropped off and left with us for the duration of the class. There is a parental consent form to fill in when booking your child onto the class. Please let us know if they have any specific food requirements, health or educational needs so we can offer the best possible experience for them. Our holiday clubs are a fun and safe environment, this class will have up to 16 children attending, so they are noisy and busy.

Reflect, remember, hope for whatever is on your heart, bring yourself to God in the beauty of St Peters historic and beautiful church in the village of Poulshot. A candle, some music and scripture, often season based, you will be made most welcome. This is usually a Lay led service.

There are lots of skills to be learned in this class with our Baking Queen Jodie and lots of delicious treats to take home. This class is going to be a busy one so we recommend that children who are 9+ attend with their adults. We will be making everything from scratch. Please bring tupperware to take extras home. Everyone attending the class is welcome to go at their own pace, some groups work quicker than others! We have a 3-hour session to allow you to go as quickly or slowly as you wish. Apple Hand Pies with Salted Caramel – For this yummy sweet treat, you will make your own homemade pastry, learning about the specific ratios of butter to flour for a flaky crust! You will also prepare apples and saute for a delcious filling, and then create a salted caramel sauce. We will be making everything from scratch. Please bring tupperware to take extras home. Everyone attending the class is welcome to go at their own pace, some groups work quicker than others! We have a 3-hour session to allow you to go as quickly or slowly as you wish. When they are younger children in the group it will be slower…it is just about enjoying yourselves. We will assist you as you go along to make all the delicious food. If you would like to cook with more members of your family or with more friends, you can have up to 4 people at your Adult & Child Cookery Station. Bbq Feast Masterclass

Description: A Masterclass in Barbequing Menu: Chicken satay skewers, Galloway beefburger, Steak tikka, Moroccan Pork skewers, Courgetti salad, Tabbouleh & Coleslaw. We will be making marinades for our chicken satay skewers and Moroccan pork skewers. When the meats are full of flavour we will be putting them on skewers ready to cook. We will be making a tikka sauce for our steaks from scratch. Then onto our home grown mince for our burgers, combining it with onion and seasoning. We will be offering advice and information about the best way to cook the meat and there will be recipes for everything we make, so that you can make it again. To compliment all the recipes for the BBQ we will be making a courgetti salad with basil and lemon, tabbouleh which is a bulgur wheat salad and creating your own coleslaw (to your taste). This is a really busy class and will be great fun to do with friends or family. And you get to eat it all here in our dining room too! Please bring tupperware to take any leftovers home with you. We give out all these recipes so you can repeat them at home and impress your family and friends.
