What's on in Mayes Green

Surrey, England

From craft workshops the kids won't stop asking about to quiz nights that'll test your knowledge of Surrey trivia (yes, really) — Mayes Green has it sorted. Coffee mornings, farmers' markets, film screenings, book clubs, open mic nights, toddler groups, and the occasional village fête that runs like clockwork. All the events that happen in village halls and community centres and local venues that the big listings sites don't bother with. We check the parish council pages, the library noticeboards, the venue websites buried three clicks deep. If it's happening locally and it's worth knowing about, it's here.

Lone Wolf Comedy Club feat. Andrew Bird Joe Page Ian Stone Joe Page Accomplished and hilarious with a unique take on the everyday, Joey Page’s career so far has been studded with rave reviews, award nominations (Best Comedy 2018 Perth Fringe Nominee & Best Edinburgh show @ Brighton Fringe awards 2017 Nominee) and TV appearances. (As seen on BBC 3’s Comedy Marathon, Nevermind the Buzzcocks & Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy) Over the last few years, Joey has built quite the reputation as a circuit favourite, for his hilarious observations coming from a working-class hero trapped in the body of an east end hipster. His truly captivating stage presence leaves an audience feeling that they have seen something very special. “A leading name in British cult comedy” – Three Weeks “Laugh-out-loud. Page is the cheeky master of the alternative – a genuine master of his craft” – Australia Times “Absolutely amazing” – XFM Ian Stone Ranked amongst the top ten stand-ups in Britain by The Independent, Ian Stone is one of the most talented topical acts and comperes in the country. Edgy and provocative, with an easy-going manner and self-depreciating style, Ian is at great ease bantering with an audience.  He received a nomination in 2012 for the BEST SHOW at the Leicester Comedy Festival. His Edinburgh festival show in 2022 Righter of Wrongs played to sold out audiences for the entire run and his 2023 show Ian Stone Will Make it Better won a Spirit of the Fringe award.
