About this event
Introduction to Jumps & Drops Skills Session - open to any age as ability based. This session is designed for riders who are new to jumping and drops, or those looking to build confidence and develop the fundamental skills required to ride these features safely and effectively. Using our purpose built coaching area, MTB Hopper ramps, and carefully selected trail features, riders will be introduced to the techniques and movements that form the foundation of successful jumping and drop riding. All coaching is delivered in a progressive, supportive environment, with exercises adapted to suit individual confidence and ability levels. The session focuses on developing core skills, confidence, and bike control, helping riders understand how the bike behaves when leaving and returning to the ground. Riders will learn how to: ● Adopt strong, balanced body positions when approaching jumps and drops ● Generate stability/control through the bike using effective body movements ● Manage take offs and landings safely and smoothly ● Use their legs and arms to absorb impacts and maintain balance ● Control speed and line choice when approaching features ● Develop confidence with wheels leaving the ground in a controlled manner IMPORTANT – JUMPS & DROPS All features used during the session are optional and will be introduced progressively.
