Workshop - Corn Dollies With Two Crooked Ladies

After a sell out workshop the Two Crooked Ladies are back and bringing more ancient crafts. Join us for a beginners’ workshop in the ancient craft of corn dolly making. Starting at 10:30am for an hour and a half we will make two traditional harvest tokens by weaving an ancient wheat strain and decorating with charms and ribbons. We will then be holding an intermediate workshop at 1pm for 3 hours where you will make two different flat weave pieces in different styles, traditionally used as house blessings. These pieces are more advanced, so please ensure you have attended the prior workshop or another workshop with us. Come for one, or join us for both and save £5

Founded in 2004, The Catalyst Club is a monthly event inspired by French salons, old debating societies and the wonderfully odd traditions of gentlemen’s clubs. Over the years it has hosted more than 700 talks on everything from zombie films and Marmite to suffragettes, Spartans, bum-reading and slime mould. The only rule: three speakers, each delivering a 15-minute talk on something they’re truly passionate about – the more unusual or niche, the better.
