The beautiful Cedar Lawn is an ideal spot for a game of croquet. If you fancy giving it a go then head to Visitor Reception to borrow a set. There are smaller mallets available for children. The croquet sets are loaned on a first come first served basis and must be returned when you have finished using them. They are available for loan daily, except on Wednesdays when the local croquet club use the lawn.

Choose from a range of child-friendly crafts and bespoke woodwork pieces to make something unique to take home. New for this year, you can learn how to make paper! First, you'll make your very own mould and deckle and then use them to make some beautiful "nature paper" from book pulp and natural materials gathered from the grounds of Montacute House. You could also make your own 'wood spirit' to pop into your garden, or have a go at laser engraving. Prices start at £5 per craft, paper making is £20 per person. Cash and card payments accepted, to be paid to the workshop leader. These sessions are drop-in and first come first served.
