Designed for children ages 5–13, this exciting event challenges young athletes through age-appropriate running, strength, agility, and power activities. Participants will test their skills with runs, push-ups, squats, planks, a speed course, and a broad jump while building confidence and having fun. Each athlete will receive an official Kids Games tee, wristband, and the opportunity to earn awards. Join us at the CityCentre Houston Plaza for a memorable day of movement, sportsmanship, and family fun. Check-in begins at 9:15 AM. Registration is $30 per athlete.

He has published three popular astronomy books for both adults and children: The Great Alien Hunt (2025, DK), Astrophysics for Supervillains (2024, DK), and The Invisible Universe: Why There’s More to Reality than Meets the Eye (2021, Oneworld). Matthew gives public lectures (past venues include the Royal Institution, New Scientist, the Royal Astronomical Society, and the British Astronomical Association), and his science writing has appeared in New Scientist, The Daily Beast, Aeon magazine, The Guardian, Writer's Digest, and more.
