Late Night Open Studio Access Fri 17th April from 5pm

This is an evening Open Studio Access which allows you to come and use the pottery workshop facilities to create your own makes. This can be hand-building projects or on the potters wheel. You can come for 2 or 4 hours. This is not a taught session so although our Pottery Teachers will be on hand for support and advice they will not teach one-to-one. If you book for 2 hours please email to let us know what time you will be attending so we can ensure enough room for everyone. From February 2026 we are changing the structure of our Open Access sessions. You must buy your clay from us (the cost includes your clay, glazes and 2 firings). Sessions fees will are being reduced. Please note our Tearoom closes at 5pm and refreshments will not be available during this session.

Exploring Watercolour Workshop Sat 18th April 1:30pm

Join Helen Worthington from Evendawn Arts in this ‘Exploring Watercolour’ Workshop. This is a perfect taster workshop for anyone who’s always wanted to try watercolour painting but have been too nervous to! It’s also great for those with a small amount of experience to practice looser painting styles and build confidence. The aim of this ‘Exploring Watercolours’ class is to have FUN, and to get past the anxiety many people experience when approaching watercolour painting! There is absolutely NO DRAWING involved, so you can simply enjoy playing with the paints, without stressing over the outcome. You’ll explore how to use a basic set of colours and see the way they blend and harmonise on paper, along with using different types of brushes and some more unusual tools to create fascinating effects. There will be a selection of simple and enjoyable exercises, which will offer you a great basis in watercolor painting. You may then want to explore these topics further at later date. This is not the type of class for those with more advanced watercolour skills, or those wishing to learn how to draw/paint landscapes or ‘formal’ types of work. All materials included in this session. Please ensure you bring something suitable to carry your work home in – an A4 folder or envelope will be fine. Join Anita from wick-ed Candle Refills for this 2 hour workshop where she will show you the simplest and quickest way to produce luxury natural soy wax scented candles and provide everything you need to do so. Within the workshop we will teach you how to make/refill your own candles and have the confidence to create your own large 250ml scented soy wax candle to take home and enjoy. (RRP approx. £35) We have a small but exceptional collection of fragrances for you to choose from, all paraben free quality fragrance oils, speciality blended for us by a UK supplier.
