Open Studio Access

Our newly extended Open Studio Access allows you to come and use the pottery workshop facilities to create your own makes. This can be hand-building projects or on the potters wheel. You can come for 2, 4 or 6 hours. This is not a taught session so although our Pottery Teachers will be on hand for support and advice they will not teach one-to-one. If you book for 2 or 4 hours please email to let us know what time you will be attending so we can ensure there is enough room for everyone. From February 2026 we have a new arrangement starting. Open Access will run every Tuesday from 9.30am – 3.30pm. You must buy your clay from us (cost covers clay, glazes and 2 firings). Hourly Open Access rates have been reduced.

Watercolour

Join us in the gallery for our Watercolour Wednesday afternoon. Got a degree in art or never held a brush before come and paint with Karen. In this session you will be guided step-by-step to create a miniature watercolour landscape painting incorporating a range of techniques. (See photo) All materials provided for this class. This session is very informal and relaxed. It’s taught by veteran watercolour artist Karen Buckels who has spent a lifetime of teaching art. “If yours isn’t at the same standard as mine then it’s my fault and NOT YOURS and i’ve never had a failure yet!” ~ Karen Buckels. This session will start at 1pm. Please note that if you wish to use our Tearoom after the workshop you must book via our website as we cannot guarantee availability. We work hard to price our workshops fairly and offer good value for money.
