What's on in Milesmark

Fife, Scotland

The proper local stuff the big sites overlook — from open mic nights to dog shows, toddler groups to talks about local history that turn out to be more interesting than you'd think. Milesmark keeps its calendar surprisingly full, and we've tracked down the lot. Coffee mornings that turn into proper catch-ups. Quiz nights where the same team wins every week and everyone pretends not to mind. Craft fairs, food markets, community screenings, and workshops teaching you things you didn't know you wanted to learn. All the things that make living somewhere feel like actually living somewhere, not just sleeping there.

Simply Dylan delivers the songs of Bob Dylan with no attempt to imitate or impersonate the prodigious songwriter, instead the band focus on the bringing Dylan’s lyrics and clever storytelling alive with a joyous and exuberant sound. From a modest project which sold out the famous Cavern Club 6 times, the band have gone on to receive fantastic reviews from the Spanish Press, impressing Dylan fans from across the UK, and opening up the IOW Festival 2019 performing on the Big Top Stage. The band lead by frontman John O’Connell, formerly of Groundpig, have gained a reputation for performing some of Dylan’s more challenging songs.
