Ushaw’s Big Library houses over 50,000 volumes, including unique early manuscripts and rare first editions. A limited selection of books and archival treasures will be on open display, offering a glimpse into the richness of the collection. This visit is designed as an introduction to the Big Library. For those who would like a deeper, curator-led experience featuring up to 20 fascinating books and archival highlights, a 90-minute Library Experience is also available here To ensure a relaxed and enjoyable visit, entry is via pre-bookable 30 minute time slots - no queues, just the opportunity to step inside one of Ushaw’s most atmospheric and inspiring spaces.
