What's on in Esh Laude

Durham, England

Esh Laude sits snugly in the heart of Durham, a quiet corner where the river and the hills keep time for everyone. With no big venues to shout about, the town relies on its community spirit to bring people together for markets or local gatherings. It is that sort of place where neighbours stop to chat while waiting for the bus. We like to think of it as the kind of spot where a sudden rain shower just makes you appreciate the dry warmth of a pub door later on. There might be a book sale in the village hall one week and a street party next, but nothing feels rushed or forced. It is simply good company without needing a stage or a screen to prove its worth.
