A limited selection of books and archival treasures will be on open display, offering a glimpse into the richness of the collection. This visit is designed as an introduction to the Big Library. For those who would like a deeper, curator-led experience featuring up to 20 fascinating books and archival highlights, a 90-minute Library Experience is also available here To ensure a relaxed and enjoyable visit, entry is via pre-bookable 30 minute time slots - no queues, just the opportunity to step inside one of Ushaw’s most atmospheric and inspiring spaces. Booking information Pre-booking is essential. Entry is only available with a valid ticket. Access is limited to your allocated 30 minute time slot. Join us for our fantastic new workshop where you will learn all about the digestive system of owls discovering what a pellet is and how it is formed. Then dissect a pellet and discover what the owl had for their lunch. Finish your workshop with a meet and greet with our Barn Owl. £7.50 per child including all equipment and materials.
