Biggar Theatre Workshop is proud to present the award-winning musical Come From Away at the Biggar Corn Exchange from 19-23 May 2026. Based on true events, Come From Away tells the remarkable story of what happened when 38 planes were unexpectedly grounded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, on 9/11. With thousands of stranded passengers arriving overnight, the people of Gander opened their homes and hearts, creating an extraordinary story of kindness, connection, and community in the face of uncertainty. This fast-moving, ensemble-driven musical features a richly textured score combining folk, rock and traditional musical theatre styles, and asks a cast of performers to play multiple characters as the story unfolds. Funny, moving and deeply uplifting, Come From Away celebrates humanity at its best.
